Product overview
- Film category: Vehicle Wraps
- Finish: Chrome
- Colour family: Black
Most chrome shouts bright silver. TeckWrap’s Jet Black doesn’t. It’s a dark smoked mirror, reflective and stealthy at the same time.
Key attributes:
- Smoked black mirror: a dark, smoked black mirror chrome that reflects while staying stealthy
- Chrome construction: conformable PVC film with a metallic silver coating for a true reflective mirror surface
- High-impact shine: a liquid-metal mirror reflection built for accents and statement panels
- Clean chemistry: Henkel solvent-based moderate adhesive, removable and gentle on factory paint
- Controlled placement: air-release channels and a stable film, under 0.20% shrinkage, for precise application
- Installer-grade: limited stretch by design, best applied by experienced installers on partial wraps with steam or IR heat
Jet Black is the stealth mirror of TeckWrap’s chrome lane. Where Crystal Chrome reflects everything in bright silver, Jet Black darkens the mirror into smoked gunmetal, a finish that still throws reflections but reads moody and futuristic instead of flashy. In shade it goes near-black, then catches the light into a dark liquid-metal shine. Like every true chrome it trades stretch for reflectivity, so it lives on roofs, accent panels, and detail work rather than a full body. On the right build it looks like polished black mercury moving across the panel.
OEM Match
- Closest to Nissan Gun Metallic: the GT-R’s signature paint since 2009, name and character both match directly.
- Same family as Porsche Agate Grey Metallic: Porsche’s long-running dark metallic gray across 911, Cayman, Macan, Panamera.
- Darker than Audi Monsoon Gray Metallic and BMW Space Grey: both real factory grays that read a shade lighter than what’s showing on the R8, Tesla, and Corvette here, which lean toward near-black in direct light.
Colour selection: Screen colours vary by device and lighting. For colour-critical work, inspect a physical TeckWrap swatch before ordering. Professional preparation and installation are recommended.
